Born and raised in Flagstaff, Arizona, Dr. Rau recieved his undergraduate degree from Northern Arizona University in 1995. Dr. Rau then attended Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago graduating in 1999.

Following graduation Dr. Rau continued his studies through a residency program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he received a ceriticate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry.

Dr. Rau continues to further his dental education by attending continuing education classes, ensuring that his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced dental care in all phases of dentistry including implants, TMJ dysfunction, veneers, crowns, bridges, worn teeth, dentures and complete family and restorative dentistry.
